Their farm can also be found on the 1876 Callaway County plat map. I still can't put together whether Richard Anderson Covington, and Charles W. Covington were related to Melchizedec Covington. All were born in North Carolina, and all migrated to Nine Mile Prairie/Williamsburg area in Callaway County, but Melchizedec arrived there in 1827, while Richard and Charles did not arrive until after the Civil War. Melchizedec was born at least a generation before Richard and Charles. Could Melchizedec have been related to their father, Captain Joseph Covington? If anyone knows the answer, please contact me.
