Betty is the one who transcribed these lists (THANK YOU BETTY!) She told me last year that the "1819" list was from an old book that she had and was not sure where the original list was. The list had to be transcribed from the original at one point, and I was sure hoping to get a look at it, assuming it is extant. Debra

    3. Montgomery County was part of St. Charles County in 1817- prior to statehood. There is a St. Charles County Missouri Territory Enumeration ( of the free white males 18 and up by name) for 1817 online at Callaway County MOGenWeb listed in the census portion- http://www.rootsweb.com/~mocallaw/census.html left col. Many of the people listed in the 1817 are not in the 1819 because of the divsion of land and Montgomery County being formed , and shortly after than, Callaway was taken from Montgomery. There was a loss of some 2600 people in the 1819 St. Charles County Missouri Territory Enumeration by these divisions. The 1819 in not online at this time. 3. Just a reminder, folks -- when you reply to a message board post, you need to click on the link and post your reply on the Web page. Posts on the message board go to the mailing list, but posts on the mailing list do NOT go to the message board.
