Article from unknown source with handwritten date of June 1958. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Elfred Brown "Elfred Brown, 54, died about six o'clock Thursday night at his home here after a long illness. He was born October 16, 1904 in Montgomery City, Mo. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Julius L. Brown. He was married November 1st, 1937 to the former Helen Prior, daughter of Mrs. Grace Prior of Madison. Mr. Brown was a member of the Madison Methodist church and a member of the Mend's Club and the IOOF. He was engaged in electrical and welding work until he became ill. Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, his father, Julius Brown, Kansas City; a sister, Mrs. Kenneth Dungan, Montgomery City; three nieces; two nephews, a great niece and three great nephews. The body lay in state at the Thompson Funeral Home until the hour of the services which were held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church. Rev. Wm.
