    3. Article from unknown source with handwritten date of Dec 8, 1954. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Leonard H. Maxey of Madison Dies; Funeral Friday "Madison - Leonard H. Maxey, 70, a life long resident of Madison, died at 1 o'clock yesterday afternoon in Woodland Hospital, where he had been a patient since Sunday afternoon. Mr. Maxey was born May 25, 1884, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.O. (Ode) Maxey. He was married on April 16, 1905, to Miss Lucy Davis, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Kelly Farrell of Moberly, two sons, Gale and Joe Maxey of Kansas City; two brothers Chester and Ray Maxey of Moberly; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Mrs. Art Farris and Mrs. Herman Karnes, and by two brothers, Jeff and Rob Maxey. The body will remain at the Thompson Funeral Home until time for services at 2 o'clock tomorrow afternoon at the Madison Christian Church. The Rev. C.W. Cornn will officiate.
