    3. Article from unknown source with handwritten date of Sep (13), 1956. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Mrs. McMorris Dies "Mrs. Emma Weber McMorris, 79, native of Germany, died at 7 o'clock Thursday night at her home, south of Madison. Born in Overstein, Germany, Mrs. McMorris came to Missouri with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Weber, when she was 7 years old. The family first settled in Higbee, and Mrs. McMorris lived her entire life in Monroe County. While living in Germany she was baptized in the Lutheran Church. She was married in 1901 to Bert McMorris, who died 17 years ago. She is survived by a son, Fred McMorris, with whom she lived; a brother and sister, Frank Weber, Richmond, Mo., and Mrs. Molly Newman, Moberly; four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Mrs. McMorris had been a patient in recent years in Barnes hospital, St Louis, Woodland Hospital, Moberly, and in Ellis Fischel Hospital Columbia. She left Ellis Fischel last June 22 and had been confined to her bed sever since at the home of her son. The body was at the Thompson Funeral Home, where services were held at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Burial was in Sunset Hill Cemetery."
