    3. Article from unknown source with handwritten date of Oct 15, 1956. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Jesse A. Newman, of Madison, Dies; Funeral Tomorrow "Madison - Jesse A. Newman, 82, died about 3:30 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Floyd Evans, Route 2, Moberly. Mr. Newman, a resident of Madison, had made his home with the granddaughter since June 10, when he became seriously ill. He had been bedfast since that time. Mr. Newman, the last of 11 children, was born Feb. 26, 1874, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Newman. He was reared in Randolph county, northwest of Levick's Mill, and spent his entire life in Randolph and Monroe county. He was a member of the Madison Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Mollie Weber; three children, Randall Newman of Kansas City, Mrs. Pierce Long of Linden, and Mrs. Willie Mae Heathman of Los Angeles, Calif.; ten grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The body is at the Thompson Funeral home. Services will be conducted at 3 o'clock tomorrow afternoon in the Madison Christian Church by the pastor, the Rev. C.W. Cornn.
