Stanley Delaney "Stanley Delaney died unexpectedly at his home in Jacksonville, 8:30o'clock Thursday morning of last week. Mr. Delaney had done the chores and had returned to the house when he was found dead in the truck. He was the son of James and Virea Snidow Delaney, born Dec. 27, 1889 in Monroe County. He was a farmer and a member of the Leesburg Methodist Church. Mr. Delaney is survived by his wife, the former Miss Ruth Woods; one son Woods Harris Delaney, Holliday; two grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Hall and Mrs. Effie Turner, Madison and Mrs. Jim Harrison, Holliday; and one brother, Jim Delaney, Holliday. He was preceded in death by a son and a daughter. Funeral services were held Saturday at the Thompson-Mackler Chapel, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. J.L. Shoemaker of Moberly officiating.
