Anderson, 77, Madison, died Saturday morning in St. Mary's Hospital at Jefferson City, where he had been a patient since suffering a stroke three weeks ago. His remains were brought to Madison, where services were held in the Thompson Funeral Chapel Monday afternoon by Rev. C.D. Hamilton of New London. Mr. Anderson was a native of Ralls County, but moved to Madison in 1901, where for many years he was in business, first as a tinner, then in the hardware business. He later traveled for a stove company as a salesman until his retirement because of ill health. For several months he had been living with a son, John, in Jefferson City. Surviving are three sons, John F. of Jefferson City, Robert N. of Mexico and Ralph of St. Louis. Mrs. Anderson, the former Miss Lutie Noel, died in 1950."
