Smith b: Jan 1806; Prudence b: abt 1808; Ephraim b: abt 1810; George W., b: abt 1814; John b: 1 May 1815; Margaret Ann b: Feb 1817; Hugh b: abt 1820 and Jane b: Feb 1822. Some of the above children stayed in Monroe Co., and some went south to Polk Co., Mo. The James Harvey Smith m; Rosey McKamey mentioned in the query, is the son of another Hugh Smith, brother to the first named James H. Smith. This Hugh Smith died in Mercer Co., Ky abt 1827, married Ann McGee, sister to above Prudence McGee Smith. I believe your John went south to Polk Co., married 1. Martha Looney, 2 Nov 1834 in Greene Co., MO {Greene Co, parent of Polk Co.} Martha Looney Smith died in Aug of 1844 and John m: 2. Nancy Looney Robberson.
