    3. Article from unknown source with handwritten date of 1960. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Open House for 50th Anniversary "Mr. and Mrs. Dave Mallory celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary Sunday afternoon by holding open house at their residence, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Refreshments of punch, cake, nuts and mints were served to around seventy guests from a lace covered table with a three tiered wedding cake as center piece baked by a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Chester Lee Mallory, Moberly. The decorated cake was topped with the word fifty in gold, with large and small white sugar bells edged in silver with yellow centers and yellow sugar flowers, each end of the table was adorn with crystal candleholders with white candles. The gift table was covered with white linen cloth, the center piece was of summer flowers carrying out the golden motif. The couple received identical gold wedding bands from the children as a gift. Mrs. Mallory, the former Miss Della Botkins, daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Botkins, Madison, was married to Dave Mallory, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clay Mallory by Rev. Joseph G. Barker, Cairo a the home of the bride's parents, September 21, 1910. Mr. and Mrs. Mallory lived their entire life north of Madison, where Mr. Mallory was engaged in farming. In the spring of '59', the Mallory's retired and moved to Madison to make their home. Mr. Mallory 76 and Mrs. Mallory 79 are both members of the Pleasant Green Baptist Church. The Mallory's have one daughter, Mrs. Archie Brooks, operator of Mildred's Beauty Shop, Madison, three sons, Duane Mallory, Madison, employee of a wholesale company, Moberly; Chester Lee Mallory and Clayton Mallory of Moberly, both are Wabash engineers and fireman. One daughter, Vineta Pearl Mallory died at the age of eighteen months. They have nine grandchildren, Judy, Tommy, Bobby and Charles Mallory, Madison; David and James Brooks, Mrs. Bonnie Gunn, and Linda Mallory, Moberly; and Ronnie Mallory of the Air Force stationed in El Paso Texas.
