After spending some time sleuthing in this immigrant history, I think it possible, and yet unlikely that your Louse is my Peter. The immigration time is very close to my records, around 1880, and the birth year is close enough to be possible. ( I have one person that quite clearly is out by 15 years in the American census data, according to her Danish emigration record.) Do you know where, in Denmark, Louse came from? Peter was born in Falster. There are many Danes in Minnesota, Peter having two brothers both in Douglas county. In any case, I am very interested in hearing more about the Danes in Missouri. It seems Missouri was much more civilized during those years than Dakota, where my great grandfather was in 1880.
