Funeral Services Held for Mrs. Verbena Riley Todd "Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, at 2 p.m. at the Thompson Mackler Chapel for Mrs. Verbena Todd, with Rev. John Buck in charge of the services. Burial was in Sunset Hill cemetery. Mrs. Todd, 82, died around 2:000 p.m. at Fulton. She was born in Monroe County, the daughter of the (late) George and Betty Hughes Riley. Her husband, O.B. Todd, died in 1934. Two brothers, George and Caskie Riley, also preceded her is death. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. P.O. (Kittie) Hayden of Brunswick; a son, Fleming Todd of Kansas City; a granddaughter, Mrs. Roy Spence of Brunswick; and a half-brother, Dr. Charles Philpott of Durham, North Carolina."
