    3. Article from unknown source with handwritten date of September 18, 1954. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Mrs. James E. Scott "Mrs. James E. Scott died at her home in Cozad, Nebr., Monday morning after several months illness. Mrs. Scott, the former Erma Harper, was born in Madison, and was the daughter of the late William and Arzelia Love Harper. She grew up in Madison, was a graduate of the Madison School and for a number of years taught in the Monroe County Schools. She is survived by her husband, four sisters, Mrs. Ernest Ragsdale, Mrs. Pet Taymen, Mrs. Mayme Broaddus and Miss Edna Harper, all of Madison, and two nieces, Mrs. Ralph Doyle of Moberly and Mrs. Guy Threlkeld of Madison.
