    3. Article from unknown source with handwritten date of April 3, 1960. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Mrs. Holohan Shower Honoree “Mrs. Mary Ruth Wood, Mrs. Romaine Holohan, Mrs. Phyllis Sparks and Mrs. Martha Lou Elsbury were hostesses to a pink and blue shower in honor of Mrs. Elwood Holohan at Bob’s Café, Tuesday night. The room was decorated with colorful balloons with picture of babies on streamers attached to the ceiling, other decorations were of pink and blue. The gifts were presented to the honoree from a white covered table with baby pictures pasted along the side, centered with a stork tree with decorations of toy babies and accessories. Games were played, the prizes won were given to Mrs. Holohan. Refreshments of white tea cake iced in pink and topped with a miniature stork and baby, and pink and blue mints in nut cups in form of a three cornered diaper held by a god safety pin and coffee were served to the following guests: Mrs. Mary Ragsdale, Mrs. Alice Hillard, Mrs. Mildred Riley, Mrs. Marvin Wood, Mrs. Willena Woods, Mrs. Carrie Holohan, Mrs. Tom Luck, Mrs. Willie Eyer, Mrs. Jessie McCreery, Mrs. Gail Holohan, Mrs. Bob Holohan, Mrs. Lillian Sullins, Mrs. Lucille Purdy, Mrs. Betty Mackler, Mrs. Bess Thompson, Mrs. Doris Davis, Mrs. Lena Pearl Tully, Mrs. Christine Manuel, Miss Shirley Manuel, Mrs. Mildred Brooks, Mrs. Lille B. Southern, Mrs. W.K. Campbell, Mrs. Mildred Hall, Mrs. Garland Mitchell, Mrs. Frances Haley, Mrs. Mildred Haley, Mrs. Juanita Farrell, Mrs. Charlene Heathman, Mrs. Edith Dickerson, Mrs. Jlia Wood, Mrs. Pauline Houchins, Mrs. T.R.
