    3. Undated article from unknown source. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Mrs. Mary Farrell Dies at Home Here “Mrs. Mary Farrell died at 8:30 o’clock Thursday morning at her home here. She suffered a stroke of paralysis ten years ago and had been in failing health since that time. Her condition became critical about a week ago. Mrs. Farrell was the widow of Newt Farrell, who died a year ago last October. She is survived by her son, Roy T. Farrell, near Holliday; two grandchildren, Mrs. Carl Wood and Linden Farrell, of Madison, and vicinity and one great-grandchild, Linden Wayne Farrell. Mrs. Farrell was born in Shelby County, March 31, 1872, and came to Monroe County after her marriage. Mr. and Mrs. Farrell lived at Mt. Pleasant until 1903, then moved to a farm 1½ miles south of Holliday. Mrs. Farrell came to Madison to live after her husband’s death. Funeral services were held at 1:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Holliday Christian Church of which Mrs. Farrell was a member. Services were conducted by Rev. J.B. Weldon, pastor of the church.
