Gaines Of Madison, 71, Dies in Kansas City "William Curtis Gaines, 71,of Madison, died Tuesday morning, April 10 at Research Hospital in Kansas City. He was the son of William and Minnie Gaines and was a member of the Madison Christian Church. Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Burke, Madison; two brothers, Guy Gaines and Roy Gaines, Madison; one sister, Mrs. Walter Constable, Madison; three grandchildren, Wilson Burke, Moberly, Mrs. Bob Hayden, Madison, and Mrs. Elvis Tyler, state of California, and seven great-grandchildren. The body was brought to the Thompson-Mackler Funeral Home in Madison and funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Madison Christian Church. Rev. C.W. Corn, Christian minister, will conduct the services. Temporary interment will be in the Shelbina mausoleum until a new mausoleum at Madison is completed."
