They received many cards and gift for the occasion. No celebration was planned for the day due to the illness of Mr. Davis who has been ill the past several years. Davis, north of Madison by the Holliday Christian Church minister, Rev. Grubbs. One other couple, Mr. and Mrs. G.A. Beamer attended the wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Davis started housekeeping in Madison where Mr. Davis was a partner in the stock business with Dick Davis. They moved to Stoutsville and lived a few years moving back to Madison to make their home, where Mr. Davis bought and sold livestock until his illness several years ago. They have one son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A.Y. Davis, Madison; one granddaughter, Mrs. Donald Thomas, Madison; one grandson, Donald Davis, Paris and one great grandchild, Keith Thomas, Madison."
