    3. Article from unknown source with handwritten date of February 1955. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Samuel Priddle "Samuel Priddle, 79, of Holliday, died Monday evening in the Pleasant View Rest Home east of Paris after an illness of ten days. His remains were taken to the Thompson Funeral Home and funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Holliday Christian Church with Rev. S.B.Owings in charge. Burial was at Holliday. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Elsie Foster of Madison and Mrs. Murry Foster of Holliday, a granddaughter, Mary Lou Foster of Holliday, and two sisters, Mrs. Edith Blackwell of Williamsville, Illinois, and Mrs. Stella Phares of Riverton, Ill. Priddle was a native of Sangamon County, Illinois, but came to Missouri with his family in 1907 and since then had lived until recently on a farm south of Holliday."
