Mrs. Dry, Former Madison Woman, Dies "Mrs. Arthur Dry, formerly of Madison, died Monday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Weaver in Colorado Springs, Colo. Mrs. Dry, a life long resident of Madison has made her home with her daughter since fall. She was born near Madison, the daughter of Jake Brown. Her mother died at her birth and she was reared by a grandmother, Mrs. Catherine Ownby. She was married to Arthur Dry in 1893 who was at one time assistant cashier of the former Farmers and merchants Bank here. Mrs. Dry was a member of the Madison Christian Church. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1938. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Catherine Dry Weaver, Colorado Springs, Colorado; a granddaughter, Mrs. Lois Warren of Los Angeles, California; two grandsons, Kenneth of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Wayne of Boulder, Colorado; and five great-grandchildren. The body was brought to the Thompson Funeral Home Wednesday evening. Services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Christian Church with Rev. C.W. Cornn officiating.
