Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YKB.2ACE/239 Message Board Post: I am in possession of a newspaper clipping dated 22 Jan 1928 (Kansas City Journal-Post). The article describes the 100 birthday of William F. Buckner, (then) one of only five survivors of the Mexican War. The article later describes Mr. Buckner as one of the California 49ers. The article lists much of Mr. Buckner's extended family. The article came with a mass of information, effects, etc. of one Gibson Langsdale. There are pictures of Mr. Buckner with some of the Langsdale family, but I am unsure of the connection. Do you know of a connection between Mr. Buckner and the Langsdale family. Gibson's father, John was (I believe) the first Medical Examiner of Kansas City and his brother, Cliff, argued at least two cases before the US Supreme Court on behalf of Labour. I am doing research for a novel about Gibson and a connection to Mr. Buckner would add a wonderful facet to this man's story. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
