Elsbury "Funeral and Masonic services were held for Aaron Edward (Short) Elsbury, 45, Madison, Monday afternoon at the First Christian Church at 2 o'clock with Rev. C.W. Cornn officiating. Mrs. Elsbury died Friday night in the Missouri State Sanatorium at Mount Vernon where he had been a patient for more than three years. He was born July 29, 1916, near Madison, the son of the late Claude Elsbury and Mrs. Jewel Davis Elsbury. Mr. Elsbury was a member of the Madison Christian Church and had served as a deacon, a member of the Madison Chapter 468, OES, and of the Madison Masonic lodge. Prior to his illness, he and his family resided on a farm south of Madison where he was engaged in farming and also was a bus driver for the Madison 3-C School and served as parts manager at Del Miles Chevrolet. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Martha Lou Stewart, four children, Johnnie Elsbury, Madison, Lonnie Dale, Ronald and Donna Lou of the home; his mother, Mrs. Jewel Elsbury, Madison, who was with her son at Mount Vernon, during his illness; one grandchild, Thomas Edward Elsbury, Madison; his grandfather, Edward Elsbury, Madison.
