Mrs. William Turner Hoy "Mrs. Eliza Mae Hoy, 58, daughter of the late John and Mae Turpitt Reid, died in North Kansas City Memorial Hospital, North Kansas City, Missouri, March 2nd of cancer. She is survived by her husband, W.T. Hoy, 2009 Buchanan, North Kansas City, Missouri, a son, Dennis A. Bloodworth, Jr; one granddaughter, Carol, 311 Florence St., Columbus, Mississippi; three stepsons, Wesley T. Hoy, Smithville, Missouri; Lee Dean Hoy, Hamilton, Missouri; and J. Ronald Hoy, Marysville, California; three brothers, Fred Reid, Madison; John H. Reid, Madisonville, Kentucky; and Tom H. Reid, Waltham, Minnesota. Preceding her in death were two brothers, Henry R. Reid and Bert E. Reid. Mrs. Hoy was born in Madison, Missouri and had resided in Kansas City for the past seventeen years. She was a member of the First Christian Church of North Kansas City and Alpha Chapter 507 of the Order of the Eastern Star. Funeral services were conducted Saturday, March 4th at 2 p.m. at the Francis Chapel, Parkville. Burial in Second Creek Cemetery in Platte County. The Rev L.G. Snodgrass, her pastor, conducted the services. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Reid and Mrs. Bart Reid, Madison were in Kansas City, Friday and Saturday and attended the services."
