I am a Great-great Granddaughter of Sarah Montague Stephens who married Amos Whitaker (also seen as Whittaker or Whiteaker). My Mother and I went to Monroe County last year on our way through to a family seeking trip to Calloway County. Amos Whitaker and his son, William Lee, are buried there. I did not know about the Embree cemetery at the time or we would have tried to go there as well. If you are interested in any more of Amos and Sarah's family info, please let me know.
