Article from unknown source with handwritten date of November 5, 1955. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Mrs. R.G. Crain "Mrs. R.G. Crain, northeast of Madison, died Saturday night at the family home after two years illness. Mrs. Crain, the former Miss Ruth Boatright, was the daughter of the late John W. and Cora Wiggins Boatright, and was born May 2, 1894 near Marshall, Mo. She was married on May 12, 1914, to R.G. Crain, who survives. Other survivors are five daughters, Mrs. Margaret Holder, Lakenan, Mrs. Raymond Lewellyne, Paris, Mrs. Roy Jones, Kirksville, Mrs. Helen McMahen, Huntsville, and Miss Rebecca Crain of the home; two sons, Robert and William of near Madison; ten grandchildren and one brother. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Leesburg Methodist church of which she was a member, by the pastor, Rev. Wm. Winter. Burial was in Walnut Grove Cemetery in Paris."
