    3. Article from unknown source with handwritten date of April 1949. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Leonard Ray Akers "Leonard Ray Akers, 61, formerly of Holliday, died Monday morning at Detroit, Michigan, where he had lived for many years. He had been in ill health for several years. Son of the late Mr. and Ms. Wm. J. Akers of near Holliday, he was the youngest of ten children. Surviving him are his widow, the former Miss Hattie Wilson of Holliday; one brother, Will Akers of St. Louis, and two sisters, Mrs. Curtis Dixon and Mrs. Nannie Evans, both of Madison, who went to Detroit this week.
