Undated article from unknown source. Extracted from the newspaper article collection started in 1879 by Mrs. Nannie Brown of Madison, Missouri. Mrs. Merit Milhollin "Mrs. Merit Milhollin, 78, died about 8 o'clock Monday night at her home in Madison. Mrs. Milhollin has been unable to walk for the past five years. She suffered a stroke ten years ago and has been confined to a wheel chair since that time. Mrs. Milhollin, the former Ida Jewell Dawson, was born January 29, 1883 in Monroe County. She was married in 1907 to Merit Milhollin, they spent their entire lives on the farm until seven years ago when they moved to Madison. She is survived by her husband; a son, Selmon Milhollin; a sister, Mrs. Ethel Sudsberry; three grandchildren, Mrs. Jimmy Griffith, Belva Sue Milhollin, and Richard Lee Milhollin; also one great grandchild, Kevin Griffith, all of the Madison vicinity. The body was taken to the Thompson Funeral Home and then taken to the family home Tuesday morning. Services were conducted Wednesday afternoon at the Grace Methodist Church with Rev. S.B.
