Mary Jane was born 8 Jan 1846 in California, Moniteau, Mo . She married John Thomas Johnson 4 Dec 1861 or 5 in Sherman, Grayson, Tx. They moved back to Barry Co, Mo in 1866. They had 11 children. Judge Holt's first name may have been James or George. I am uncertain as to wife's name..maybe Lucinda or Martha. We know Mary Jane had at least one sister, name unknown, who was married to a Boucher. Sister died in childbirth and Mary Jane and JT "adopted" her youngest child, a son named Robert in the late 1880s or 1890.
