I have a copy of JT Johnson and Mary Jane Holt's marriage license dated 4 Dec 1865. They were married in Sherman, Grayson co, Tx by F. McNely. They moved back to Barry county Mo in 1866. They had several children including: James Abraham 13 Jan 1867, Mallie E 1870, Albert Jan 1877, Walter B. 25 April 1882, Grover Cleveland 29 June 1884, Lela Amelia Feb 1880 (Married Dr. William T Bailey, died 1912, due to breast cancer), Bertha, William, and Robert A.12 Jan1872-12 May 1914. They also "took in" Mary Jane's youngest nephew as an infant after his mother, Rebecca Adeline Boucher died in Dec 1890. His name was Robert Boucher. He was a pharmacist and never married. We believe he died in California, as did Walter and May. Some of this information we garnered from Mary Jane and JT's obituaries and some from an elderly granddaughter of theirs. We have been to the Oak Hill cemetery in Cassville, Mo where they are buried. Their son James was either the sherrif or the police chief there for many years and another son, Mal was also in law enforcement in the area. We know Walter married Nora May Hight and moved to the Long Beach, Calif area where they are both buried. Grover was last heard of in Dallas, Charles in Cornish, Colorado. James and Mal are buried around Cassville as are Bertha and Robert. JT Johnson entered the Confederacy in Sherman,Tx...reportedly in CoB, 22nd Texas Cavalry (aka as Steven's Regiment) Jan 1861. He was a harnessmaker. He participated in Prairie Grove, Ark, Mansfield,La and Fayetville,Ark. I'm sharing this with you in the event you wish to add the information to your site. Thanks again for your help. Carolyn
