    1. [MOMONITE] Baise/Sullivan Moniteau Co.
    2. My g-grandfather Humphrey Sullivan married my g-grandmother Sarah (Sally) Baise/Bays/Bais/Baize in Moniteau Co., 14 June 1875. The marriage abstract lists her as Sallie Bays. Her death certificate lists her as Sarah Baise and the death certificates of her children list her as Baize, Baise and unknown. I am trying to find out her her parents are. By 1880 she and Humphrey had moved south to Morgan Co, living around Versailles. Of course, no census for 1890 and 1900 has my grandmother Margaret listed as Maggie Sullivan 18, servant. No sign of Humphrey, Sallie or any of the other 5 children. Hanorah (Nora), Mary, John, Catherine and David. Census records list Sally parents as her father being born in KY and her mother being born in MO. On the 1870 census I have found a BB Bais born in KY with a wife to young to be Sallie's mother living in Moniteau Co., There is a Sallie age 18 which could be my Sallie. To further complicate things it is a family story that Sallie lied about her age and made herself older to receive Social Security earlier. Her tombstone and obit birthdate is 1850. Her age on the 1880 census is 28 which would be right for the Sallie on the 1870 census. Anyone else out there researching Baise or Sullivan? Humphrey Sullivan is buried in the Annunciation Cemetery in California MO. The dates on his Tombstone are 1844 to 1922. I sent for a copy of his death Certificate and his wife is Sallie but he is listed as a widow. and his parents are unknown. In 1922 Sallie is still alive and living in San Francisco with Catherine. Three of the six children are living in the San Francisco Bay Area and remain there until their death. Mary dies early after marrying and having a daughter that Catherine raises. Margaret married John Henry Hayes somewhere and moved to California in 1912. Catherine, and John are already there. David lived and died in St Joseph MO and Nora moved to Wyoming. This family line is my brick wall and is seriously need help sorting through the conflicting information. Any Ideas out there? Susan Young Medford OR
