I assurme he was from a town near Pittsburg or form Pittsburg. He was very active in the Union and was elected to the State's political system. After her term of office he moved with his family (wife, Sarah Foster-related to Stephen Foster) to Derry, PA. He went to home in Pittsburg after his wifes death and died there.
