GLASCOCK PASSES AWAY This community was saddened on last Thursday afternoon by the death of one of its pioneer residents, Mrs. Sarah Margaret Glascock, aged 79 years, after a lingering illness. Death was superinduced by a fall nine weeks ago, in which she sustained a fractured hip. Mrs. Glascock was born and reared in Cole County, near Russellville, being the daughter of Richard and Mellie Berry Isom, Pioneer settlers of Cole County. In 1872, she was married to William C. Glascock, who pre- ceded her in death 31 years ago. Mrs. Glascock is mourned and survived by three children, James, Mollie and Lulu, one granddaughter and two brothers, Lon Isom, of Jefferson City and John Isom, of Sedalia, Mo. Mrs. Glascock was one of the oldest and most esteemed residents of Russellville. She was a fine Christian character, being a member of the old Baptist Church for many years. She was a kind devoted mother maintaining her little family in the face of many hardships during the long years of widowhood, but never complaining or losing courage. The same courage and patience were hers during the long days of suffering but she bore it all in a cheer- ful and patient manner. Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Russellville Church. Rev. H. L. Enloe, an old neighbor and friend of the deceased officiating at services and burial was made in the Enloe Cemetery at this place. The funeral arrangements were in charge of G. N. Steffens, undertaker of Russellville.
