James H. Chapman was born in Moniteau January 7, 1843. He was the son of William Chapman & Eliza Mary Jane Owen. In 1866 he married Margaret Jane Campbell. They had 3 children Minnie Rochester, Mrs Mattie Hinkle and J. W. Chapman also a Mrs. Lobaugh.
