Harris, 78, Russellville, died Tuesday, June 14, 1994, at his home. He was born March 11, 1916, in Fair Play, a son of Arthur and Lulu Barkley Harris. He was married May 2, 1943, in St. Louis, to Thelma Plochberger, who survives at the home. A U.S. Army veteran, he was a member of Roscoe Enloe Post 5, Jefferson City. He was a Carpenter and was employed with the Cole County Highway Department until his retirement in 1980. Other survivors include; three sons, Gary Harris, Sedalia, David Harris, Russellville, Rick Harris, Jefferson City; one daughter, Mary Kirchner, Jefferson City; and seven grandchildren. Services were held Friday at Weber and Sons Funeral Home, Russellville, with the Rev. John Kerr officiating. Burial was in Enloe Cemetery, Russelllville.
