He was born September 16, 1917 at Commerce, OK., a son of Thomas and Mattie Eppa Hankins. He was married June 8, 1942, to Alice Mae Amos, who survives of the home. An Army veteran of World War 11, he was a salesman for Chesebrough-Ponds and a member of the Corticelli Baptist Church near Russellville. Other survivors include; one son, CW2 James Hankins, with the Us Army in Italy; two daughters, Judy Holt, Lynnwood, Wa. and Machel Hankins, Miami; one sister, Edith Pinson, Mesquite, TX; and six grandchildren. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Bowlin Funeral Cahpel, California, with Rev. R. V. Wilson officiating. Burial was in Enloe Cemetery, Russellville.
