Hello everyone, Don't know if anyone had this or not but I found in the Thurs., Aug 30, 1877 California Democrat: Logan Jobe, aged about 40 years died at the residence of Abraham Jobe, his father, on Monday last. His disease was consumption. Here's what I found as far as obits on the requested folks: Thurs., March 26, 1931 California Democrat Mrs A.V. Jobe Dies After A Flu Attack Was Born Near Jamestown a Daughter of Mr and Mrs James R Kay Mrs A. V. Jobe, 75 years old, died at her home near Clarksburg March 24th, 1931, following an attack of intestinal flu. Mrs Jobe was born near Jamestown October 23rd, 1855. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs James R Kay and is survived by her husband, A. V. Jobe, one son, Coleman Jobe, three grandchildren, Mrs Edgar Simmers of Clarksburg, Margaret Jobe of Denver, Colo., and Alonzo Jobe at home, also three great grandchildren and four brothers, E G Kay of Kansas City, H H Kay of Eldon, A J Kay of Kliever and J R Kay of Jamestown. Mrs Jobe was converted in early life and united with the Baptist church. She lived a consistent Christian life, always taking an active part in church and community services. She was a home loving mother and was devoted to the best interest of her immediate family. She loved and appreciated her neighbors and was always ready to help the needy or unfortunate. Funeral services were held yesterday at the Baptist church in Clarksburg, Rev R L Hood officiating. Burial was at the Masonic cemetery. The family wishes to thank the friends and neighbors for the help and kindness shown during her sickness and after her death. I did not find an obit in October 1951 for Alonzo Vincent Jobe. Thurs., May 14, 1970 California Democrat Mrs. Birdsong's Funeral Monday Funeral services for Mrs Dicie Minnie Birdsong were conducted Monday afternoon at the Williams Funeral Chapel with the Rev Tommy Barrett officiating. Music was by Mrs Floyd Wise and Mrs Dale Hofstetter, accompanied by Miss Ruth Longan. Mrs Birdsong died at 10:05 p.m. Saturday, May 9, at Memorial Hospital. She was 73 years old. Mrs Birdsong was born in Moniteau County Dec. 1, 1896, the daughter of Joseph Calvin and Nancy Katherine Jobe Henry. She was married May 23, 1917, to Ralph Birdsong, who survives. The couple lived and worked in Kansas City until they retired and moved back to California eight years ago. She was a member of First Baptist Church. One son, Donald Birdsong of Minneapolis, Minn., survives; also one daughter, Mrs Donald Rust of Iola, Kan.; one brother, John F of Iola, Kan.; one brother, John P Henry of Kansas City, Kan.; and six grandchildren. Sons Harold Lee and infant twins, Emmette and Newton, preceded her in death. Burial was in the Flag Springs Cemetery. Pallbearers were Bill, Don and Charles Gray Birdsong, Alvin Allee, Floyd Wise and Casey (Urbin) Scheidt. Thurs., August 14, 1969 California Democrat Funeral Friday for Lewis Jobe Lewis Jobe, 81, of California died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 4:40 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in Jefferson City. Funeral services were held 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Clarksburg Baptist Church, the Rev Ron Gross officiating. Burial was in the Hickman Masonic Cemetery. Mr Jobe was born May 25, 1888 near California, the son of Reuben and Sally Jobe. His and Miss Etha Donley were united in marriage May 20, 1917. She survives. To this union two sons were born: Glen S of California, who survives, and Clelland, who died in 1954. Mr Jobe attended Clarksburg College at Clarksburg and Southwest State Teachers College at Springfield. He taught in local schools for 13 years. He united with the Clarksburg Baptist Church in 1916 and for many years taught Sunday School there. He was a 50 year member of the Clarksburg Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. For more than fifty years, Mr Jobe was successfully engaged in farming and livestock raising on his farm northwest of California. Ill health forced his retirement and he moved to California in September 1968. Other survivors include: One brother, Elmer Jobe, Corydon, Ind. and one sister, Mrs Loy Edwards, California; five half brothers, Chester and LeRoy Jobe, Calera, Okla., Herman Jobe, Elizabethtown, Ky., William Jobe, Shreveport, La., and Eugene Maupin, Fortuna; five half sisters, Mrs Sally Chouinard, Independence, Kan., Mrs Ruth Fahrendorf and Mrs Dorothy Wasson, Calera, Okla., Mrs Eldora Streater, Wekoka, Okla., and Mrs Joan Brandt, Vidalia, Ga.; two grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Preceding him in death were two brothers, Ed and Clay Jobe, and one sister, Mrs J. O. Beutler; also three half sisters, Martha, Susan, and Margaret Jobe. Thurs., February 11, 1965 California Democrat T. C. Jobe, 70, Dies At Fulton Funeral at Williams Chapel Saturday Tarry Clay Jobe, 70, died at the State Hospital in Fulton Wednesday, Feb. 10. He had been a patient there for the past six years. He had lived in California, Mo. for three years prior to being admitted to the hospital. Mr Jobe was born Nov. 15, 1894 northwest of California. His parents were Ruben and Sally Jobe. He was married in 1921 to Iva Hamler. The estranged wife survives. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs Delcie Phillips of Chicago, Ill., two brothers, Lewis Jobe of near California and Elmer Jobe of Corydon, Ind.; and two sisters, Mrs. E L Edwards and Mrs James Beutler, both of California, Mo.; five half brothers and five half sisters. Preceding him in death were a brother, J E Jobe and three half sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the Williams Funeral Chapel in this city, the Rev H J [or L] Hood officiating. Burial will be in Flag Spring cemetery.
