I am aware of only one Box family in this area in the early years of the state. Muke Box came to Old Franklin (near present-day Boonville) when it was the first settlement in the central Missouri area. He married Eleanor Ashcraft, a sister of my gg...grandmother. My records show that he later moved to near the Kansas City area and is in Cedar Co. MO in 1850, along with several of his children and several of his Ashcraft in-laws. However, at least two of his children are in the western Moniteau County area in 1880 - Frederick M. Box near Latham and James W. Box near Clarksburg/Pilot Grove area. Addition information on Muke Box can be found on the Box Board here on Rootsweb and on the LDS familysearch.org site.
