    1. [MOMONITE] Obituary Look ups Please
    2. Harry S. Hamilton
    3. Hi, I need some help, please. I have several obituaries for my wife's great grandmother and grandfather and aunts and uncles, but I'm not sure of the source. I'm hoping someone will point me in the right direction to obtain newspaper name, date, and page information. I believe these all came from the California Democrat. The titles are: Dr. B. M. Miller Dies at California After Heart Attack (DEC 27 1948) Centertown by Billy Harlan (this article is actually an obituary for Mayme Miller) (after 26 JAN 1950) Hermon Miller Dies of Stroke (after 24 SEP 1940) Funeral Services for Mrs. Enloe (Mrs. T.B. (Calpurnia) Enloe) (after 16 FEB 1928) Rites at Shiloh For Mrs. Mary Miller (after 10 DEC 1951) Mrs. Edna Shelley Dies at California (14 APR 1949) Rites Wednesday for Mrs. Inglish (after 14 FEB 1966) Tribute to Hon. J.P. Miller (I'm positive this is from the Democrat, in Sedalia, and may have been on the front page as the newspaper's "masthead" is on back of the article) (after 29 JAN 1915). Appreciate any help, even pointers to a library. Harry Harry S. Hamilton Genseeker06@knology.net

I have wondered if he might be father or older brother, maybe the land was a military land grant for the father and maybe John & Jackson had been minors at the time their father died. I don't know. I never saw Robert Fowler on a Census record that I know about. I am just as lost as a goose on this family who just moved at the drop of a hat and played fast and loose with giving information to the census taker, the places of birth vary and so do the dates of birth. It appears that the wife of John C. Fowler, Olivia Heath, came from a family who lived around the area of Nicholas Co. KY it could be that they came to MO together. My John C. Fowler did not seem to think beans about moving from one state to another back in the 1800s, hopping around like the jet set but I doubt if they had money. If you ever discover you are connected to John C. and Jackson Fowler please let me know and I will keep an eye out for yours also. Thanks Charlene

Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/XKB.2ACE/340.343.493.1 Message Board Post: My Rawley Fowler b. 1824 Tn was on 1850 Monroe County Ky census listed under a Conklin as a laborer the woman he married in 1850 Margaret Miller was b. 1827 Ky and listed under Conklin too. Had 3 sons in Tn then moved to Missouri some time after 1855 . I believe that his parents were Robert Fowler b. 1786 and Elizabeth (Betsey) Hinds b. 1795 Va. married 1813 Ky. But no proof. Children of Rawley and Margaret were named Stephen Boone, William Ragland, James P., Henrietta, Elizabeth Anne, Cora and possibly a Jane. Betsey , his mother is listed on 1860 Missouri census as living with them. it is hard for me to find my Fowlers too. The name Robert Fowler seems coincidental to me since you mentioned him and I have a Robert as Rawley's father but do you have any other info on him? Do you know what county they were in in Ky? hope to hear from you soon. Brenda

I have a couple of Fowler men from Ky 1815 & 1818 who were in Gasconade and Osage Co., maybe Cooper Co.MO also, certainly Saline Co. MO in 1850. John C. Fowler b. 1818 KY and Jackson H. Peter Fowler b. @1815 KY, I THINK their father or older relative was Robert Fowler but do not know date or place of birth for him. A deed was transfered from Robert Fowler to John C. Fowler and Jackson H. Fowler in Osage Co. MO 1843. I know John C. Fowler married Olivia Heath in Gasconade Co. MO Jan. 1843. I do not know where they were in 1840, I don't know where Jackson H. Fowler was 1850 but in 1850 John C. Fowler was in Saline Co. MO. but he and his family moved to Denton Co TX 1860, Newton Co. MO 1870 and Searcy Co. AR 1880. This has really been a rough line to trace. Any help would be appreciated Charlene
