The Iberia Sentinel, August 1935 Mrs. Bert Whittle, who with her husband and others left Miller County a number of months ago for the State of Washington, died in a hospital in Yakima, Wash. Thursday, August 13, after an illness of eleven days. Mr. and Mrs. Whittle were living at Wapato, Wash, when she took sick. Mrs. Whittle was a daughter of Mr. Jack Brumley of near Iberia and was well and favorably known here. Besides her husband she leaves two children, a father, three sisters, five brothers and a host of other relatives and friends. Her mother preceded her in death a few years ago. The body of Mrs. Whittle is being shipped back to Miller county, but up to the time the Sentinel goes to press we have been unable to learn anything definite as to funeral arrangements.
