The Iberia Sentinel, April 1928 Delmar Workman was born Dec 8 1906, and died April 21, 1928, following a brief illness of pneumonia and flu. His age was 21 years, 4 months and 13 days. He leaves to mourn his untimely death a mother, Mrs. S.E. Workman, four sisters, Mabel Workman, Mrs. Bert Koon of Colorado, Joe Ann and Ethel Spearman, and four brothers, Armel and James Workman, and Oscar and Edgar Spearman. His father departed this life about 17 years ago. Besides these there are many other relatives and friends who mourn the early closing of Delmar's life. He graduated from the Iberia Academy one year ago, and when this last illness came was giving his time to the work of the farm. He will be sadly missed by those who knew him best and loved him most. And they may be assured of the loving sympathy of all their neighbors and friends at this time of bereavement. And a loving Heavenly Father will not leave them comfortless. The funeral services were held from the home Sunday afternoon conducted by Rev. E.H. Pontius and the body was laid to rest in the Wright Cemetery. Delmar was a member of the Iberia M.W.A. Camp.
