The Iberia Sentinel, July 1934 Mr. and Mrs. John Pemberton of this place received the sad news Monday afternoon announcing the death of their daughter, Mrs. Chester Sanders and her infant babe born only a short time before. Mr. and Mrs. Sanders, since their marriage a few years ago, have resided on a farm near Paris, Mo. Mrs. Sanders was taken to a hospital in Moberly, Mo., a week or so ago to be under the care of special physicians and it was there she departed this life together with her infant. Mr. and Mrs. Pemberton, of this place, and their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. K.L. Burdon of St. Louis, left here Monday night to attend the funeral, which we understand took place at the Sanders home near Paris Wednesday afternoon at 1 o'clock. Mrs. Sanders (nee Gladys Pemberton) is survived by her husband, parents and three sisters, namely: Mrs. K.L. Burdon of St. Louis, and Mrs. Norah Law and Mrs. Opal Davis of El Centro, Calif. The latter two sisters were unable to attend the funeral, but we are informed that they will arrive here latter part of the week. The entire community joins in extending deep sympathy to the bereaved husband, parents and sisters in their hour of sorrow.
