Carmen Ercell Bassman Wright dies Mrs. Carmen Ercell Wrioght, 89, Phoenix, Ariz., who until a couple of years ago lived in Miller Co., died Sunday, November 2, 1975, at a Phoenix hospital. A county native, she was born August 10, 1886, at Tuscumbia to John Casper and Lucy Evelyn (Birdsong) Bassman. She was married April 18, 1909, to Lawrence Alfred Wright, who died May 7, 1947. She is survived by two sons, Gerald V. Wright, Weldon Springs, Mo., and Lloyd A. Wright, Phoenix, Ariz.; two daughters,k Dorothy H. Nichols, Phoenix, Ariz. and Dorris N. Clemons, Kansas City; a sister, Phreda H. Lang, Kansas City; and eight grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. Funeral services for Mrs. Wright will be held at 11a. m. today (Thursday) at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Roy Weece will officiate. Biurial will be in the Tuscumbia Cemetery.
