Julie I can't see a connection to 'my' Paynes. My earliest was Robert aka George b 12 Mar 1795 in Georgia. His wife was called Frances b abt 1815 in Virginia. They had 3 sons (at least) born in Kentucky 1829-1842. By 1850 Census the family was in Miller County.
