    1. [MOMILLER] Eliza McComb McCubbin
    2. Obituary: Miller County Autogram, March 16, 1939 Eliza McComb McCubbin Mrs. Z. T. McCubbin, one of Brumley’s most loved and respected pioneer women, died at her home Friday March 10, 1939 at the age of 84 years, 5 months and 5 days. Eliza McComb McCubbin was born in Miller County on Gravois creek, near the present location of Bagnell, October 6, 1854, and when eight years old she moved to the Brumley community with her parents. Since that time she has lived in Brumley or vicinity. She was converted and joined the Brumley Baptist Church when ten years old and had lived a beautiful and devoted Christian life until her departure from this life. On March 12, 1874, just 65 years to the day preceding her funeral, she was united in marriage to Z. T. McCubbin. To this union sixteen children were born, eight boys and eight girls. Four of them died in infancy; Arlie J., a son died when four years old; and Lewis K, another son, died at the age of twenty four. She was a kind and faithful companion, doing her part in keeping her home, in training her children in the way they should go, keeping them close under her care in their childhood and teaching them to love the Lord. Like Timothy of old, the children were taught,by both mother and father, to know the Scriptures from their youth up. She was the song leaderin the church for many years and took an active part in all church works as lon as her health permitted , Sitting in her place and would sing and praise the Lord for keeping her here so long and telling of her hopes of heaven and glory. 3. The mention of McCubbin and Sidwell in this obituary got me wondering. Arvilla Payne 1899-1983 was the wife of Price Catlett Wall. One of her grandparents was Jonathan Young Sidwell 1828-1919; another was Emily N McCubbin 1829-1897. Were they linked to Z T McCubbin? 3. Millie Canada McCubbin was married to Charles E. Sidwell, 23 Jun 1922. He was the son of Andrew F. and Margaret (unknown) Sidwell. Andrew was the son of Jonathan Young and Martha Jane Burgess Sidwell...at least that is what I have. Correct me if I'm wrong.
