    3. Was her second husband, James A. Kershner, the same person who married Amanda Snorf and fathered Mary Annabelle Kerschner? The Iberia Sentinel, January 1925 Hattie A. Hughes, daughter of Jonathan Hughes, was born Dec. 5, 1836, in Scioto County, near Portsmouth, Ohio, and died January 19, 1925, at the home of her son, George Patterson, in east Miller County, Mo. She was 88 years, 1 month and 1 day old at the time of her death. She was united in marriage to George R. Patterson and to this union four children were born. The husband and three children preceded her in death. She has one son living, George W. Patterson, with whom she was making her home when she died. She later was married to James A. Kershner, who died about three years ago. She leaves her son and his wife and six grandchildren to mourn her departure. She was laid to rest in the Union Cemetery near Brays beside her husband James A. Kershner. She was a devoted member of the Christian (Newlight) Church. -written by a grandson, Harry Patterson
