Ahart Mrs. Nancy Ann Ahart, daughter of Marion Francis and Katherine [Francis Marion and Catherine] Boon., was born in Maries County, Missouri, Aug. 9,1862, and came to Polk County, Missouri, in 1894. She departed this life Wednesday, April 1, 1942, having reached the age of 79 years, 7 months and 23 days. On April 3, 1984, she was united in marriage to A. B. Ahart. This union was blessed with ten children. Alice M. preceded her in deith Oct. 22, 1892, and Annie Jane Simpson passed away in January [Jan. 24], 1920. Those surviving are Charlie M. Ahart of Osage Beach, Mo., Mrs. Bertha E. Piper of Woodbine, Iowa, Mrs. Azilee Bewley of Bolivar, Mo., Mrs. Stella Simpson of Polk, Mo., Harry Ahart of Bolivar, Mo., Leonard Ahart of Modesto, Calif., Roy Ahart of Greenwood, Iowa, and Mrs. Alta Wilson of Bolivar, Mo. She leaves to mourn her passing her faithful husband and the eight children, 45 grandchildren, and 30 great-grandchildren. She passed away at the home of a granddaughter, Mrs. Dee Barnes, who tried to do all for her that human hands could do. She was converted early in life and joined the Methodist church and later joined the Baptist church. She belonged to Center Point church and was always a faithful member as long as her health permitted. She left assurance she was ready to meet her Blessed Savior [Saviour]. Weep not, dear ones, for our loss is Heaven’s gain. A precious one from us is gone, A voice we loved is stilled; A place is vacant in our home, Which never can be filled. Funeral services were held at 2:30 o’clock Friday afternoon, April 3, at the Baptist church at Polk, Mo., conducted by the Rev. Frank Lyttle. Burial was in the Payne cemetery under the direction of Hutcheson & Co. of Bolivar.
