The Iberia Sentinel, September 1937 Funeral services will be held here at the Pentecostal Church this (Wednesday) afternoon at 2:00 o'clock for Mrs. John G. Rowden, who died at her home in Strang, Oklahoma early Tuesday morning, September 15. The body, brought here by undertaker Mr. Green of Strang, accompanied by her aged husband, son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Fred M. Lawson, and their two children, arrived here Wednesday morning and lay in state it he Adams & Casey undertaker parlors until time of funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Rowden were residents of Miller County prior to their moving to Oklahoma a number of years ago. For several years Mrs. Rowden had been afflicted with cancer, the direct cause of her death. She is survived by her aged husband; one daughter, Mrs. Fred Lawson of Strang, Oklahoma, and one son, Willis Rowden of Iberia. Mrs. Rowden was a sister of the late M.J. Davidson of Iberia. Interment is to be made in the Brays Cemetery northeast of Iberia.
