George H. Rehagen of St. Elizabeth, died at the age of 61 at the University Of Missouri Medical Center in Columbia on Monday September 6, 1971. A retired farmer and former employee of a charcoal kiln firm at Meta, George lived his entire life in Miller County, except for a short residency in St. Louis. He was buried 9 Sept. 1971 at St. Lawrence Cemetery, St. Elizabeth, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, the former Catherine Scheuler, who lives at the home in St. Elizabeth, Missouri. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church and the Holy Name Society. Survivors include one son, Lawrence H. Rehagen of Meta; 2 daughters, Mrs. Marilyn Nilges of St. Elizabeth and Mrs. Marjorie Herigon of St. Thomas; 3 sisters, Mrs. Emma Weidinger of St. Elizabeth, Mrs. Anna Otto of Dixon, and Mrs. Martha Otto of Iberia; 1 brother, Joseph Rehagen of Jefferson City, and 7 grandchildren.
