    3. Unknown Publication, November 1965 Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Octavie (Tavie) Skaggs, 78, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Brays Advent Christian Church. Mrs. Skaggs died Sunday at Humphreys Hospital in Tuscumbia. She was born March 2, 1887, near Iberia, the daughter of George Martin and Hannah (Tyler) Humphrey. On November 9, 1904, she married Theodore Thomas Skaggs who survives at the home near Iberia. Mrs. Skaggs was a lifelong resident of Miller County and a 70-year member of the Brays Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by five sons, Freeman and Grant Skaggs of Iberia, Rayborn of Bunker, Billie of St. Louis, and Gordon of Waterford, Conn.; five daughters, Mrs. Neta Myers and Mrs. Alma Myers of Lutesville, Mrs. Nova Dake, Mrs. Josephine Mohrman and Gay Lamb of St. Louis. One Brother, Clyde Humphrey of Iberia; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Livingston of St. Louis and Mrs. Monte Shelton, Mrs. Dessie Morrow, and Mrs. Mary McKee, all of Iberia; 24 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sons, four brothers and three sisters. The Rev. Miles Bowden officiated at the funeral services. Interment was in Union Cemetery near Iberia under the direction of Scrivner-Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia. Pallbearers were Ernie Humphrey, Earl Humphrey, Jennings McKee, and James Argus, and Ellis Skaggs.
