    3. Unknown Publication, November 1969 Mrs. Ethel Susan Hauenstein, 81, of Eldon died Tuesday night, Nov. 18, 1969, at Charles E. Still Hospital, Jefferson City. Mrs. Hauenstein had been hospitalized since Friday afternoon when she suffered a stroke at her home, 230 W. Fourth St. She was the widow of William H. Hauenstein who died Dec. 13, 1962. Mrs. Hauenstein was born Oct. 5, 1888, at Eldon, the daughter of the late Herbert L. and Mary Olive (Robinson) Moles. She and Mr. Hauenstein were married Feb. 12, 1911 at Tuscumbia. Mrs. Hauenstein moved to Eldon in April, 1968, from the family farm on the Osage River above Tuscumbia. She was a member of the Tuscumbia Christian Church. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Corinne Bottoms of St. Charles, Mrs. Olive Elizabeth Walton of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Lucille Harbison of Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Billie Sue Gillmore of Cahokia, Ill., and Mrs. Phyllis Hall of Bellaire, Tex.; three sons, Bennett Hauenstein of Wilmette, Ill., Kenneth Hauenstein of Olean, and Russell Hauenstein of Overland Park, Kan.; 20 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs. Ruby Brown of Eldon, Mrs. Tom Bassman of Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Olive Pike of Kansas City, Kan., and Mrs. Lois Dean Smead of Phoenix, Ariz. Funeral services for Mrs. Hauenstein will be held at 2 p.m. today (Thursday at the First Christian Church of Eldon. The Rev. Walter D. Simpson and the Rev. A.L. Alexander will officiate. Burial will be in the Tuscumbia Cemetery under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.
