    3. Unknown Publication, December 1970 Otto Cross, a lifelong resident of the Iberia community, died on Christmas Day, his 75th birthday. He passed away early Friday, Dec. 25, 1970, at the L. E. Cox Medical Center in Springfield. Mr. Cross was born Dec. 24, 1895 in Miller County, the son of the late Charles E. and Effie Humphrey Cross. He was married March 25, 1917 to Bertha Mace who survives at the home in Iberia. Also surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Lois Dean Miller of Waynesville; four granddaughters; two brothers, Herman Cross of Kersey, Colo., and Barney Cross of Alamogordo, N. Mex.; and two sisters, Mrs. Lennie Graham and Mrs. Opal Cassingham, both of Warrensburg. Mr. Cross was a retired farmer. He also taught school for six years in Miller County. He was a member of the Brays Advent Christian Church. Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Brays Advent Christian Church. The Rev. Aldon Veach and the Rev. Bill Dudley officiated. Burial was in Union Cemetery under the direction of Stevinson Funeral Home of Iberia. Active pallbearers were Ernine Humphrey, Okley Kinder, Bill Clark, Henry Leffman, Hezzy Hinson and Bert Faber. Honorary pallbearers were Albert McKee, Ralph Newhart, Austin Barnett, Allen Shelton, the Rev. Miles Bowden and Ed Humphrey.
